Local Charity: The Joshua-Kyle Trust, Belfast

Last May, the Colleague Council at our Holywood store in Belfast chose as its Local Charity the Joshua-Kyle Trust, a charity for terminally ill children suffering from rare genetic disorders.

Colleagues have raised £3,000 for the charity, through fundraising activities such as a sponsored walk across Northern Ireland.

"Sainsbury's has been brilliant. There are lots of children who need expensive equipment to help with their illness, and thanks to the money raised by Sainsbury's we're able to provide some of this. Many families in need of help didn't know about the charity, so it has been really great all round."
